Bangkok, THAILAND – February 2 , 2021 : Bang Ao mosque in Thonburi was built to host a community of Persian traders who fled after the destruction of Ayutthaya. The Mosque was completed in 1919 during the reign of King Rama VI in a neo-classical Italian style very much en vogue between 1880 and 1920 in Siam.
