Wrapping a black banner on Democracy Monument

Bangkok, Thailand – Aug 19, 2021 : The Tha Lu Fah group held a rally at the Democracy Monument, during which they wrapped the model of the palm-leaf manuscript representing the Constitution in black cloth to represent the hopelessness of the era. A banner saying “Tyrants posing as good people” were also hung from the Monument.
They also burned pictures of the cabinet, government MPs, and senators as a symbolic act of protest. Daily rallies have been held in Bangkok demanding that PM Prayut Chan-o-cha step down for mismanaging the Covid-19 situation.
