Bangkok, Thailand - January 22, 1968 : At Don Mueang Air Force Airport, King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit welcome Iran's Emperor Shah Pahlavi and Queen Farah. The Iranian Emperor and Queen greeted important Thai delegations including Prime Minister Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn and Deputy Prime Minister General Praphas Charusathien. Then, King Bhumibol Adulyadej led the Emperor of Iran to the podium to receive respects from the national guard soldiers before proceeding to the airport lounge to greet the delegation. The King then sat in the royal car and drove away from the airport on Phahonyothin Road. The urban reception ceremony for the Victory Monument at Phan Fah Bridge. Mr. Chamnan Yuvaboon, Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Bangkok, welcomed and presented the key to the city to the Emperor of Iran, and the Emperor of Iran congratulated the visit to Thailand.
